This Privacy Policy explains how GyanYatra handles information when you use the GyanYatra application and related services.

GyanYatra does not require users to create an account or sign in. The app does not ask users to provide an email address, username, password, or other account credentials.

Limited technical and usage information may nevertheless be processed automatically by third-party services used by the app, including Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK.

The advertising/privacy age category is used only to determine advertising treatment in the app. GyanYatra does not ask for or store an exact age or date of birth.

GyanYatra may store certain app preferences locally on the user's device where necessary for application functionality.

The optional advertising/privacy age category is stored locally on the device. It is not transmitted to our servers.

Removing the app, clearing app data, or changing relevant app settings may remove or reset locally stored information.

4. Advertising and Age-Related Privacy Settings

GyanYatra uses Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK to display banner advertisements where advertising is enabled.

GyanYatra provides optional advertising/privacy age categories: 13-15, 16-17, and 18 or older. The selected category is stored only on the user's device using local app storage and is not transmitted to our servers.

If no advertising/privacy age category has been selected, GyanYatra may request restricted banner advertising. In this case, child-directed treatment is requested from the Google Mobile Ads SDK, the maximum ad content rating is set to G, and ads are requested as non-personalized.

If 13-15 or 16-17 is selected, advertising is disabled in the app.

If 18 or older is selected, AdMob banner advertising may be displayed. Ads are requested as non-personalized, and the maximum ad content rating is set to G.

Advertising/privacy settings can be changed in the app from Explore > Advertising privacy. Changing advertising treatment may require restarting the app before the new setting fully applies.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically process information such as IP address and approximate location derived from IP address, app and ad interactions, diagnostic information, and device or other identifiers where applicable. Such information may be collected and shared by Google for purposes including advertising or marketing, analytics and measurement, and fraud prevention, security, and compliance, subject to Google's policies.

GyanYatra does not sell users' personal information.

Information may be processed or shared by third-party service providers used by the application, including Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK, as described in this Privacy Policy and subject to the provider's own privacy policies and terms.

Information may also be disclosed where required by applicable law or where reasonably necessary to protect the security, rights, or property of the application and its users.

We take reasonable measures intended to protect information associated with GyanYatra from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

However, no internet-based service, mobile application, or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

The advertising/privacy age category selected in GyanYatra is stored locally on the user's device and may remain there until it is changed, app data is cleared, or the application is removed.

Information processed by third-party services may be retained according to the applicable provider's policies and legal requirements.

8. Children's Privacy

GyanYatra is an educational application that may be used by students.

GyanYatra does not require users to create an account and does not intentionally request unnecessary personal information from children.

The app provides advertising/privacy age settings designed to apply different advertising treatment depending on the selected category.

If 13-15 or 16-17 is selected, advertising is disabled. If no category has been selected, the app may request restricted, child-directed, non-personalized advertising with a maximum ad content rating of G.

GyanYatra may provide summaries, MCQs, question banks, PDFs, practice questions, book-related answers, and other educational resources.

We aim to provide useful and accurate educational content, but we do not guarantee that every item will always be complete, error-free, or suitable for every examination or curriculum.

GyanYatra currently does not require or provide user account creation or sign-in.
